31st Chapter of premier communication body takes
off
AGARTALA:
In order to professionalize, develop, update and popularize Public Relations
practice and programme the Tripura Chapter of Public Relations Council of India
was inaugurated on 28th January, 2018 at Agartala. In the inaugural
address B.K Sahu, Chairman, PRCI, Eastern Region said that Public Relations has
to accept the multi-dimensional challenges of the social, economic, political
and cultural forces of the changing times and to meet the demands of various
stockholders and accordingly PR Professionals should be equipped with the
target subjects and new technologies including the development of New Media.
Sahu said
that to play the constructive role in an organization and to facilitate free flow
of information for true business development and social good, the Public
Relations Professionals and Journalists should work together.
In this context, M.B Jayaram, Chairman,
Emeritus and Chief Mentor, PRCI conveyed his good wishes for success of Tripura
Chapter of PRCI. Sri Jayaram said ‘we in PRCI, move together to update ourselves with the next wind of
change.-TOGETHER WE CAN.’
As a Guest of Honour in
the function Sanjay Kumar Mukherjee, Vice –President, PRCI, Kolkata Chapter
mentioned that to project the multi – faceted development of Tripura this new
Tripura Chapter of PRCI can play the pivotal role. In the near future PRCI,
Kolkata Chapter and PRCI, Tripura Chapter can work out various programmes for
professional development of PR practice, he said.
In the Keynote address
Biswajit Das, Secretary, PRCI, Kolkata emphatically pointed out that for
successful Public Relations interaction with all kind of people in the society
is need of the hour. Building good relations is the life blood of Public
Relations. Without good relationship management no ‘Image Building’ is
possible. Tripura has enough potentialities in the areas of bio-gas industry,
tea plantation, orange and pineapples cultivation, rubber production and tourism.
PRCI, Tripura Chapter can accept these challenges to promote Tripura in the
national and global market.
In the Presidential speech veteran journalist Subal Kumar Dey,
Veteran Journalist lauded the kaleidoscopic activities of PRCI and he was
confident that PRCI would play the big role for flourishing professionalism in
Public Relations and for enhancing many more constructive public relations
activities.
At the out set in his
welcome address Biswendu Bhattacharjee, Chairman, PRCI, Tripura Chapter and a
noted Journalist stressed on the perspective and utility of Tripura Chapter of
PRCI. Sudipta Kar, Secretary, PRCI Tripura Chapter and Media and Communication
Officer, PIB, Tripura delivered the valedictory address.
